What Is Bluejacking
Bluejacking means temporarily hijacking another person’s mobile phone by sending the errant messages using the Bluetooth wireless networking system. Here the victim does not know that who has sent the message. Bluejacking can be done in the Bluetooth enabled devices only such as mobile phones, laptops or PDAs. A Bluetooth device works on a range of 10 meters and your phones or PDAs fitted with a Bluetooth device can be easily used to search for other nearby Bluetooth device. Thus after establishing the connection, delinquent messages can be sent to others.
The main thing to know about Bluejacking is that it is not mobile hacking. It is actually harmless prank played on the people who have switched on their mobile phones. It is just to scare or freak out them. Usually, a bluejacker can send the text messages but now they can even send the images and sounds.
The places to have fun with bluejacking are busy shopping centers, railway stations, high streets, on a train, bus or tube. Even you can bluejack others’ mobile phones in the cinema halls, cafes, restaurants and pubs. Another famous place is the mobile phone shop.

1. Enable Bluetooth on your mobile phone
Whatever mobile phone you have, make sure that it is Bluetooth enabled otherwise you cannot do it. Since Bluetooth can work only in the short distances so you need to find out the crowded places.
2. Create a contact in your mobile phone
Now create a new contact in your phone’s contact by putting some anonymous names in the Name Field or better write some short message for example “Brother you are Bluejacked!” and this message is visible in that person’s mobile screen.
3. Follow steps in your mobile
After the above process you can now select the New Contact and from the Menu of the phone choose “Send via Bluetooth”. This facility is available in your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone to send a contact to someone else.
4. Searching begins
Your mobile phone will then start searching for the Bluetooth enabled devices. You will get the list of names on your mobile phones if you are in the vicinity of other Bluetooth enabled devices. It might happen that you do not get any name then it means that you need to relocate to other another crowd and wait for a while to get the list of names.
5. Choose the particular name
Then finally you can choose the name from the list and send the message to him and be ready to see the shock on his face.
Thus it is very interesting to play a prank on someone but make sure that you do not bluejack especially in those areas such as airports where tolerance and patience level is very low. Also you should not indulge in harassing or blackmailing others.
